Partnerships pave the way to progress. As a small team at Bike Walk Nebraska, it’s impossible for us to single-handedly serve every community in Nebraska. 

And, that’s not our goal.

We strive to uplift and create an environment where local communities can make informed decisions prioritizing safety and mobility. 

In 2024, our collaborative cultivation efforts looked like:

• Hosting the Bike Walk Nebraska Summit, the state's only gathering of active transportation and trail advocates, planning professionals, and community leaders to advance mobility. 
• Securing partnerships with UNL Outdoor Adventures and The Riverfront for Learn-to-Ride programming expansion.
• Reactivating the cross-sector team making up the Cowboy Trail Coalition to empower and encourage usage, maintenance and development of the 200-mile, multi-use trail system.
• Presenting at the League of Nebraska Municipalities Annual Conference on the transformational power of trails to city officials.
• Founding of Bike Walk Give Day, a first-of-its-kind collective fundraising event supporting active transportation organizations across Nebraska.
